Career Day 2015


Winthrop High School is excited to be hosting our first Career Day for WHS students in many years. Our goal is to bring professionals from our community into our school to speak to our students about their career's. In a survey presented to our students, professionals from our community will represent the following professions:
Our students will enjoy hearing speakers talk about:
-A typical workday
2    -Career trends (job outlook, how competitive is application process…)
3       -Pros and cons of the job
4    -Salary range
5    -Training/education requirements
6    -Helpful technology to be familiar with
7    -High school classes that would pertain to their respective career choice
8    -Their favorite task in their job
9    -An exciting, funny, or unusual experience they have had in their career

We have scheduled Career Day presentations as follows:
Date: March 20, 2015 at Winthrop High School
First Session 8:00-8:40
Break 8:40-8:50
Second Session 8:50-9:30
Break 9:30-9:40
Third Session 9:40-10:10

Immediately after the third session, students will be asked to gather in the Performing Arts Center for a presentation by two and four year academic post-secondary admissions officers.
